Empowering rural communities
the right sourcing match is more than just a client/factory, It is its people.
The School of Apparel Production (a NON-PROFIT INSTITUTION), also known as SOAP, and formerly Guatemaltex, has expanded the breadth of its mission and its goals. We have positioned oursleves as the "go-to" for small and medium brands, as well as major global brands that are looking for the right people and factories who offer logical and solution-oriented partnerships that best serve their needs.
We focus on major components that entail a successful collaboration
- The client
- The factory
- The team members
- The community
- The win/win/win/win partnership
Although we work in a dynamic and process driven industry, sometimes it bodes well to stop for a moment to consider how the interaction between client and factory best serves all stakeholders.
Human sustainability is at the crux of maximizing efficiency, quality, and most of all understanding the client. By identifying, analyzing, and developing processes that meet these very important points we maximize the factory's ability to meet client expectations.
Upskilling the workforce to meet client expectations
Our Process
There are no revolutionary concepts in our approach to solve production needs and form excellent communicative partnerships between clients, factories and the communities they are located in. Maximizing production abilities, allowing team members to shine in developing new skills and new levels of achievement will give the client the most positivity in their sourcing choices.
Retraining Middle Management to navigate comfortably in global supply chain strategies
Upskilling factory workers in their job tasks and learning more professional objectivity
Expanding factory capabilities of product range for more engagement in client servicing
Consulting
We believe that factories that have the physical tools, many times do not have the skill set to attract specific clients who have higher or different compliance requirements. Some who also need better communication.
We train and consult with factories who may tick some the clients' boxes but not all and assist them in fulfilling the requirements of the client to move forward with development and then production. We also assist clients to identify factories that can fulfill their needs and, if needed, assist the factory to maximize their possibilities of a new opportunity.
Made with Purpose
We are Western hemisphere focused to meet challenges and exceed expecatations for all our stakeholders.
